Genuine Antique Fostoria "American Clear" Divided Candy Dish
This pattern was introduced in 1915!
This is only 3 years after the Titanic sunk!
It measures 5 1/4 Inches in width.
It is much heavier than the Homco version of this bowl.
These early pieces were pieced together by hand.
They did not have the technology, nor the machinery capable to make glass completely automated as they do today.
Fostoria was made by piecing together 3 parts to make one piece, which is still used to identify it today.
Once purchased, look closely at this dish and you can see the 3 seams inside the bowl.
They would place them back in the oven which fused them together and smoothed the lines but did not remove them.
Fostoria was sold to the Lancaster Colony Corporation in the 80s.
This is an awesome light refractor.
